Rachel Jo

Rachel Jo is an Associate Attorney at Melmed Law Group, where she advocates for employee rights, specializing in wage-and-hour class actions and individual employment disputes.

Rachel earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, graduating magna cum laude in 2019. During her time at UCI, she was a member of the Campus-wide Honors Program and earned Departmental Honors in Political Science. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor at LMU Loyola Law School in 2024, where she was actively involved in the Entertainment Law Review, serving as a Research Editor after one year as a staff member.

While at Loyola, Rachel honed her practical skills through participation in the Pro Se Mediation Clinic, where she represented clients in antidiscrimination mediations under the guidance of experienced mediators. This hands-on experience allowed Rachel to develop expertise in client counseling, legal research, and negotiation, all while advocating for fair resolutions in a non-adversarial setting.

Rachel’s dedication to employee rights and social justice has been central to her legal career. At Melmed Law Group, she continues to build on her commitment to workers’ rights, representing employees in complex wage-and-hour matters and seeking justice in high-impact cases. Her work reflects her passion for empowering employees and ensuring they are treated fairly in the workplace.
