Rebecca Harteker

Rebecca is an associate attorney at Melmed Law Group, P.C. She recently graduated from Georgetown University Law Center.

Rebecca grew passionate about Plaintiff-side Employment litigation while in law school. There, Rebecca volunteered at the Workers’ Rights Consortium and conducted research into issues affecting the rights of workers internationally. She also spent time interning for the Washington, D.C. Public Defender’s office where she worked on appeals of criminal defendants who had been wrongfully convicted.

Rebecca spent one summer during law school working at the East Bay Community Law Center’s Health and Welfare Practice where she worked to secure healthcare, housing, and other benefits for individuals who could not otherwise afford legal services. Rebecca has also worked as a law clerk at two plaintiff-side law firms, once in protecting consumers’ rights against large tech companies and once in helping to represent employees in wage-and hour class actions. Rebecca is passionate about plaintiff-side work and protecting workers from being taken advantage of by their employers in individual and class action cases.
